A small to medium shrub with neatly arranged, narrow green leaves and masses of pretty white and soft pink, silky hairy, round flower heads displayed at the ends of branchlets. A lovely shrub that flowers from late winter to early summer and grows from 0.3m to 1m tall, tolerating moderate drought and frost. It grows in loam, clay loam and gravelly soils, winter wet depressions, laterite ridges and around granite outcrops. A great plant for mixed shrubberies and cottage gardens as the white flowers off-set other colours and attract butterflies and moths. It responds well to light pruning after flowering to maintain shape and to stimulate more flowers. Origin – South-west forests.
