Lechenaultia biloba – Blue Leschenaultia

$8.00

A delightful low shrub with soft grey-green foliage and stunning blue fan-shaped flowers. This is an iconic wildflower from the South-west and looks great planted en masse with kangaroo paws and yellow hibbertias. It can grow to 0.5m tall although often sprawls over the ground, and flowers from winter to early summer. It prefers well-drained sandy loam, gravelly loam and clay loam in open sunny or partly shaded sites with some summer moisture. It can be short-lived but will send up new shoots and self-sow in good sites. Lovely for large pots and hanging baskets. Origin – South-west Jarrah forest, Wandoo woodlands and granite outcrops.
