Isopogon formosus – Rose Coneflower

$8.00

A medium, upright shrub with light green divided leaves and large, pink pixie mop flower heads held at the ends of branches. A robust plant with a stunning floral display from winter to early summer and lovely contrasting reddish new growth. The individual flowers droop when they open around the head to create the soft, pixie mop appearance. Tolerates moderate drought and frost and can be tip pruned to maintain shape and promote new growth and flowers. A good cut flower that can also be grown in large pots. Avoid heavy pruning and use only low or no phosphorus slow release fertiliser. It prefers full sun and grows in sandy loam, gravelly loam, gravelly clay loam, clay loam and rocky sites. Origin – Southern Wheatbelt and South Coast.
