A tufted perennial herb with long, grass-like linear leaves and showy spikes of pastel pink trigger flowers. A very attractive plant that flowers from late winter to early summer, and grows from 0.3 to 0.6m high in flower. Perfect for pots, rockeries and native cottage gardens and will attract insect pollinators. It prefers well-drained sandy loam, gravelly loam, sandy clay and clay loam with some dappled shade and mulch to conserve soil moisture. Can be divided to increase plantings. It can dry off in summer, then produce fresh leaves and tubers in autumn. Trim old flowers and seed capsules off in autumn if desired, or leave to self-seed. Origin – south-west wandoo open woodlands.
