It grows in a wide variety of well-drained soils with good organic matter, including sand, sandy loam, gravelly sands and loams, clay loam and clay in full sun or part shade. It requires watering until established, then is frost and drought tolerant. Excellent for mass plantings, as an understorey plant and for providing texture contrast. Origin – woodlands in southern Australia.
