A large, spreading shrub or small tree with serrated leaves and lemon-yellow hanging flower heads, followed by ornamental woody fruit. This interesting Banksia grows from 1m to 5m high and flowers from spring to autumn. It grows naturally on hard rocky sites but grows best on loam, gravelly loam, clay loam, sandy loam and clay. The lovely flowers attract honeyeaters while the old fruit adds character and the orangey-green new foliage adds contrast. A hardy low maintenance shrub. Origin – Southern mallee and south coast.
